Ganja

Stoner Dictionary | Ganja

Ganja: noun 1. a slang term for marijuana

Example: “I took a puff of that sweet, sweet ganja and let my mind float to space.”

Associated most often with thoughts of Jamaican palm trees and colorful Rasta hats, its another word for good ol’ MaryJane. It is said that ganja is not a Jamaican word at all but an original Sanskrit word meaning “hemp.” Popularized in reggae music and culture, ganja is one of the cooler names for our dear old friend and a favorite among many marijuana circles. If ever you’re in a tropical mood break out the herb, find a hammock, and blast some Bob Marley, it’s time to relax.
